Brew Guide

There are a lot of factors that effect the taste of your coffee and everyone has their own preferences for strength, however if you stick to these general guidelines you can't go wrong!

  • Cold Brew: 80g coffee per 1L water, steeped for 12-20 hours.
  • French Press: 50g coffee per 1L, brewed for 3-5 minutes.
  • Aeropress: 16g coffee per 200g water, brewed for 45-60 seconds.
  • Filter: 18g coffee per 300ml, brewed for 3-4 minutes.
  • Moka Pot: 15g coffee per 250g water, brewed until the top chamber is full of coffee.
  • Espresso: 8g coffee single shot, 16g double shot. 1-1.5 coffee to water ratio pulled in 25-30 seconds.

Always try and use filtered or mineral water and let your boiled water cool slightly before pouring. Happy brewing!

Beginners Guide

If you're making the jump from instant coffee or simply never brewed your own cup, don't sweat! We have some handy tips here to get you going.

  1. Brewing method - You're going to need something to brew the coffee, there are several options out there but a French Press (or Cafetierre) is likely the easiest and cheapest for beginners.
  2. Grind - Coffee naturally comes as a whole bean, which needs to be ground before brewing. Which brewing method you choose will determine how coarse or fine the grind needs to be. If you don't have a grinder, simply select which brewing method you are using and we will grind it for you!
  3. Weight - Depending on brewing method, a 250g bag of beans is around 15-17 cups. The more you buy at once the more you save!
